When feminine.
This is an /adhikAra.
It means that the following sUtras (from 41004 ajAdyataSTAp > to 41081 daivayajJiz...) teach what feminine affix we have to add to certain nounbases when they are feminine.
Example 1.
The base **vidyut- विद्युत् is always feminine. None of the following sUtras says anything about it, so it gets no feminine affix at all.
Example 2.
There are three **pustakabhRt- पुस्तकभृत् bases, with all three genders. None of the following sUtras says anything about such t त्-ender bases, so they do not get any feminine affix.
Example 3.
The base **vRka- वृकॱ m gets /GIS when it becomes f , because sUtra 41063 jAterastrIv... says so.
When does vRka- वृकॱ m become feminine?
Bases become feminine (A) when they mean a female (B) when they linkto a feminine noun, even if it does not mean a female (such as **vidyut- विद्युत्, **nadI- नदीॱ).
