→ nAy- नाय् + akas अकस् by ecoyavAyAvaH

Careful. This rule applies to some /yu /vu affixes, such as /lyu /Nvul /vuJ /vun, but does not apply to others, such as /yus.

Candravasu says that in old times the /yu and /vu that are affected by this sUtra used to be chanted with their u उ nasalized, like the /it vowels by upadezej..., just to tell them apart from /yus etc.

Therefore, chanting Nvu~ltRcau ण्वुँल्तृचौ, yu~vo~ranakau युँवोँरनकौ might be a good idea.
