There was in old time a merchant in TAmraliptI, named Dharmasena,

And the two saw suddenly a beautiful couple of swans coming through the air.

rAjahaMsau samutpannau punar bhAryA-patI: ubhau = both

and so the husband and wife were born in the next birth as swans.

yad-bhAvit'-AtmA = oneself; soul

yad-bhAvit'-AtmA mriyate = dies

yad-bhAvit'-AtmA mriyate jantus = creature, living being

yad-bhAvit'-AtmA mriyate jantus tad = that, he, them, she, it; and then, so, therefore

yad-bhAvit'-AtmA mriyate jantus tad rUpam = (n.) form, shape; good form, beauty

yad-bhAvit'-AtmA mriyate jantus tad rUpam aznute = enjoys, eats, experiences; gets to, arrives, reaches

“A creature receives the form of that which it was contemplating at the moment of death.
