zakraH sA hi = because; (@ignore)

zakraH sA hi matA = (was) thought

zakraH sA hi matA tasya = his, its

zakraH sA hi matA tasya ripau = enemy

zakraH sA hi matA tasya ripau vRttiH = job, livelihood, way of living

zakraH sA hi matA tasya ripau vRttiH sanAtanI = constant, eternal

and it was because he approved of this eternal usage towards the enemy that he did so.
