"goal" or "destination" is just another translation for /karma "object".
Sankrit grammarians feel perfectly at home saying that **aham अहम् is the /kartR (doer) and laNDram लण्ड्रम् is the /karma (object) in a sentence like
laNDraG gacchAmi लण्ड्रं गच्छामि "I'm going to London"
or like
laNDro gantavyo mayA लण्ड्रो गन्तव्यो मया "I should go to London"
but Western grammarians are sort of horrified by the idea of calling this London an "object", so they prefer say that is is a "goal", or an "object / goal". Whatever you call it, it is a /karma and it gets second ending by karmaNidvit....
