What is "Western civilization"?

I use the word very broadly to mean "Cristian european countries and their ex-colonies".

In my personal view I divide the cultures of the world in five broad groups —

China and old area of influence (like Vietnam, Japan)
Western countries (like France, Argentina and Australia)
Islam
India and old area of influence (Thailand, Java)
Everything else (like the few native-Australian cultures left in Australia and the Quechua and Aimara)
