deriv LSK ETT STT aSTA ALPH OLDHOMEPAGE NEWHOMEPAGE
A /zloka is a stanza made of two (sometimes three) zloka-lines.
A zloka-line has sixteen vowels, and usually a pause in the middle.
The heavy and light vowels of a zloka have to follow a certain pattern. As it is a bit long to explain, please see this gadget. It shows the pattern of heavy and light vowels of the zrI-sarasvaty-aSTottara-zata-nAma-stotraM श्रीॱसरस्वत्यष्टोत्तरॱशतॱनामॱस्तोत्रं.
The last line in there, namely —
|| iti zrI-sarasvaty-aSTottara-zata-nAma-stotraM sampUrNam|| ॥ इति श्रीॱसरस्वत्यष्टोत्तरॱशतॱनामॱस्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम्॥
is not a zloka-line, and that is why the gadget on the right side does not show <‐‐‐‐ in the last line.
