The /karmakartari is an unusual construction that expresses that the doer and the object are the same —
kriyate kaTas svayam eva क्रियते कटः स्वयमेव "the mat makes itself" (/karmakartari)
where the **kriyate क्रियते has /yak.
The usual way to express that is using **Atman- आत्मन् —
AtmAnaG kaTaH karoti आत्मानं कटः करोति
AtmAnam Adarze pazyanti nAryaH आत्मानमादर्शे पश्यन्ति नार्यः "the women see themselves in the mirror"
May I say Adarze dRzyante nAryAs svayam eva आदर्शे दृश्यन्ते नार्याः स्वयमेव ?
I have no idea, sorry. I have read about this /karmakartari thing in grammar commentaries, but never found one in the wild yet.
