deriv LSK ETT STT aSTA ALPH OLDHOMEPAGE NEWHOMEPAGE
The short vowel L ऌ does not have a long version in the real language.
Oddly, it appears on some fonts nevertheless. Sometimes it is needed on print, because of grammarians that write things like —
There ain't such a thing as "ॡ".
When reading that aloud, the ॡ letter will be usually mispronounced as if it were lRR लॄ, which in turn is usually mispronounced as lrI ल्री.
By lack of appropriate fonts, this ॡ is often mistyped as lRR लॄ. Yet, it even has its very own UNICODE points. Those are —
DEVANAGARI LETTER VOCALIC LL, aka U0961 (ॡ),
and its combining form
DEVANAGARI VOWEL SIGN VOCALIC LL U0963 ( ॣ तॣ ).
In theory, you might need this letter sometimes to write the /pluta version of L ऌ, ॡ३, Which of course will likely be mispronounced as lrI3 ल्री३.
