A letter is padafinal (or wordfinal)

1. when it is the last letter of a /pada (fullword), and
2. when svAdiSvasarv... says it is.

Example of 1.

The s स् in **manas' मनस्ऽ is padafinal because it is at the end of a word. And **manas' मनस्ऽ is a wod because rule suptiGantamp... teaches so.

Example of 2.

When we form **manas- मनस् + /bhis, the s स् is padafinal because rule svAdiSvasarv... teaches so.
