Example.

According to hanterjaH 14>, /han becomes ja ज before /hi'''.

According to atoheH, /hi''' poofs after vowels.

So, if these two rules where anywhere else in the grammar, /hi''' after /han would first trigger the ja ज change and then disappear.

Yet, according to 64022 this rule, the change into ja ज made by 64036 hanterjaH 14> fails to trigger the subsequent rule 64105 atoheH, so we get
