There is no stretch before a stretched.

The stretching rule say that we must stretch the /yaN of whatever we stretch. But vyadh व्यध् and yuvan युवन् have two /yaN, which one should we stretch? Maybe both?

This sUtra says that we stretch the last /yaN only —

vyadh व्यध् + /kta
→ !**viddha- विद्धॱ "pierced", "wounded"

Also

**yuvan- युवन् + /Gas → **yUnas यूनस्, strectching only the v व्, not the y य्.
