However, rule aTku अट्कु forbids saying that. Why? The S ष् in IkS ईक्ष् makes the tongue curl up, and the tongue is still bit curled up while we say a , m म्, A . This means that when we get to the n न्, the tongue is still a bit curled up, and at that point saying Na is easier than saying na . So what we actually say is —
