/AkRtigaNa / आकृतिगण

An /AkRtigaNa is a class of words that is not listed in the /gaNapATha.

Example. sUtra arza::Adibhy... means "arzas अर्शस् etc. get /ac'". This is an exception to a sUtra that would prescribe /matup.

As there is no official list of "arzas अर्शस् etc." words, saying "arzas अर्शस् etc. get /ac" i s the same thing as saying "some words get /ac', like arzas अर्शस्".

This is different from the /ajAdi mentioned in sUtra ajAdyataS अजाद्यतष्. There is an official list of /ajAdi words in the /gaNapATha.
