'Then indra, glorified by the bands of gandharvas and celestial nymphs,

05018001c airAvataM samAruhya dvipendraM lakSaNair yutam
mounted on Airavata, the king of elephants, characterised by auspicious marks.

05018002a pAvakaz ca mahAtejA maharSiz ca bRhaspatiH
And the illustrious agni, and the great saint bRhaspati,

05018002c yamaz ca varuNaz caiva kuberaz ca dhanezvaraH
and yama, and Varuna, and Kuvera, the lord of riches, accompanied him.

05018003a sarvair devaiH parivRtaH zakro vRtraniSUdanaH

05018003c gandharvair apsarobhiz ca yAtas tribhuvanamM prabhuH
And the lord zakra, the slayer of vRtra, then went to the three worlds surrounded by the gods together with the gandharvas and the celestial nymphs.

05018004a sa sametya mahendrANyA devarAjazH zatakratuH
And the performer of a hundred sacrifices, the king of the deities, was thus united with his queen.

05018004c mudA paramayA yuktaH pAlayAmAsa devarAT
And he began to protect the worlds with exceeding gladness.
