06033002c tvattaH kamalapatrAkSa mAhAtmyam api cAvyayam 2 For I have heard at large from thee of the creation and dissolution of beings, O thou of eyes like lotus petals, and also of thy greatness that knoweth no deterioration.
06033003c draSTum icchAmi te rUpam aizvaramM puruSottama What thou hast said about thyself, O great Lord, is even so. O best of Male Beings, I desire to behold thy sovereign form.
06033004c yogezvara tato me tvanM darzayAtmAnam avyayam If, O Lord, thou thinkest that I am competent to behold that (form), then, O Lord of mystic power, show me thy eternal Self.
06033005 zrIbhagavAn uvAca 'The Holy One said,
06033005a pazya me pArtha rUpANi zatazo 'tha sahasrazaH 'Behold, O son of pRthA, my forms by hundreds and thousands,
06033005c nAnAvidhAni divyAni nAnAvarNAkRtIni ca various, divine, diverse in hue and shape.
06033006a pazyAdityAn vasUn rudrAn azvinau marutas tathA Behold the Adityas, the vasus, the rudras, the azvins, and the maruts.
06033006c bahUny adRSTapUrvANi pazyAzcaryANi bhArata Behold, O bharata, innumerable marvels unseen before (by thee).
06033007a ihaikasthaJM jagat kRtsnamM pazyAdya sacarAcaram Behold, O thou of curly hair, the entire universe of mobiles and immobiles,
06033007c mama dehe guDAkeza yac cAnyad draSTum icchasi collected together in this body of mine, whatever else thou mayst wish to see.
06033008a na tu mAM zakyase draSTum anenaiva svacakSuSA Thou art, however, not competent to behold me with this eye of thine.
06033008c divyanM dadAmi te cakSuH pazya me yogam aizvaram I give thee celestial sight. Behold my sovereign mystic nature.''

06033009a evam uktvA tato rAjan mahAyogezvaro hariH 'Having said this, O monarch, Hari, the mighty Lord of mystic power,
06033009c darzayAmAsa pArthAya paramaM rUpam aizvaram then revealed to the son of pRthA his Supreme sovereign form,
06033010a anekavaktranayanam anekAdbhutadarzanam with many mouths and eyes, many wonderous aspects,
06033010c anekadivyAbharaNanM divyAnekodyatAyudham many celestial ornaments, many celestial weapons uplifted,
06033011a divyamAlyAmbaradharanM divyagandhAnulepanam wearing celestial garlands and robes, (and) with unguents of celestial fragrance,
06033011c sarvAzcaryamayanM devam anantaM vizvatomukham full of every wonder, resplendent, infinite, with faces turned on all sides.
06033012a divi sUryasahasrasya bhaved yugapad utthitA If the splendour of a thousand suns were to burst forth at once in the sky,
06033012c yadi bhAsH sadRzI sA syAd bhAsas tasya mahAtmanaH (then) that would be like the splendour of that Mighty One.
06033013c apazyad devadevasya zarIre pANDavas tadA The son of pANDu then beheld there in the body of that God of gods the entire universe divided and sub-divided into many parts, all collected together.
06033014a tatasH sa vismayAviSTo hRSTaromA dhanaJMjayaH Then dhanaMjaya, filled with amazement, (and) with hair standing on end,
06033014c praNamya zirasA devaGM kRtAJjalir abhASata bowing with (his) head, with joined hands addressed that god.

06033015a pazyAmi devAMs tava deva dehe sarvAMs tathA bhUtavizeSasaGMghAn
06033015c brahmANam IzaGM kamalAsanastham RSIMz ca sarvAn uragAMz ca divyAn 'arjuna said, 'I behold all the gods, O God, as also all the varied hosts of creatures, (and) brahma seated on (his) lotus seat, and all the RSis and the celestial snakes.
06033016c nAntanM na madhyanM na punas tavAdimM pazyAmi vizvezvara vizvarUpa I behold Thee with innumerable arms, stomachs, mouths, (and) eyes, on every side, O thou of infinite forms. Neither end nor middle, nor also beginning of thine do I behold, O Lord of the universe, O thou of universal form.
06033017a kirITinaGM gadinaJM cakriNaJM ca tejorAziM sarvato dIptimantam Bearing (thy) diadem, mace, and discus, a mass of energy, glowing on all sides,
06033017c pazyAmi tvAnM durnirIkSyaM samantAd dIptAnalArkadyutim aprameyam do I behold thee that art hard to look at, endued on all sides with the effulgence of the blazing fire or the Sun, (and) immeasurable.
06033018a tvam akSaramM paramaM veditavyanM tvam asya vizvasya paranM nidhAnam
06033018c tvam avyayazH zAzvatadharmagoptA sanAtanas tvamM puruSo mato me Thou art indestructible, (and) the Supreme object of this universe. Thou art without decay, the guardian of eternal virtue. I regard thee to be the eternal Being.
06033019a anAdimadhyAntam anantavIryam anantabAhuM zazisUryanetram I behold thee to be without beginning, mean, end, to be of infinite prowess, of innumerable arms, having the Sun and the Moon for thy eyes,
06033019c pazyAmi tvAnM dIptahutAzavaktraM svatejasA vizvam idanM tapantam the blazing fire for thy mouth, and heating this universe with energy of thy own.
