निष्ठा शीङ्स्विदिॱमिदिॱक्ष्विदिॱधृषः ONPANINI 12019

The /seT /niSThA affixes are not /kit after
/zIG "to lie down"
svid स्विद् "to sweat"
mid मिद् "to melt"
kSvid क्ष्विद् "to be unctuous"
dhRS धृष् "to offend".

So we say —

/zIG + /kta!**zayita- शयितॱ "slept"

Wait... according to Aditazca, the last four of those five roots are /aniT, so this sUtra cannot apply to them, so why bother mentioning them?

Read next sUtra, vibhASAbhAv.... These four roots are optionally /seT, but only when they are fakeverbs. If we take that option, then this rule applies —

/pra + svid- स्विद् + /kta!**prasvedita- प्रस्वेदितॱ "was / got soaked in sweat"

But otherwise it doesn't —

svid- स्विद् + /kta → **svinna- स्विन्नॱ "sweating, moist"
