Derivation of pacatR m + /su .

Bases formed with /zatR affix (pacat पचत्) work like bases formed by /matup affix before most endings. However, the /zatR affix is not /udit, it is /Rdit. Therefore, before /zI and /GI, /zatR bases get /num by zapzyanornity... —

pacatR- पचतृॱ + /GI + /bhis → pacantIbhiH पचन्तीभिः

but /matup bases don't —

dhImatu- धीमतुॱ + /GI + /bhis → dhImatIbhiH धीमतीभिः

Also, a masculine /matup lengthens before /su by atvasantasy...

dhImatu- धीमतुॱ + /su → dhImAn धीमान्
hanumatu- हनुमतुॱ + /su → **hanumAn हनुमान्

but a /zatR doesn't —

pacatR- पचतृॱ + /su → **pacan पचन्
