(This root AzaMs आशंस् "desire" has nothing to do with zaMs शंस् "praise".)

With /san, no sense of habit is required. So we can use —

**yuyutsu- युयुत्सुॱ "(one who) wants to fight"

even when there is no habit of wanting to fight, as in —

kurukSetre samavetA yuyutsavaH कुरुक्षेत्रे समवेता युयुत्सवः*
"(those who) met at Kurukshetra wanting to fight"
