05044001d tad brUhi me vAkyam etat kumAra I pray thee, O celebrated RSi, to go on telling me words such as these, that are unconnected with objects of worldly desire and are, therefore, rare among men.'
05044002 sanatsujAta uvAca 'sanatsujAta said,
05044002a naitad brahma tvaramANena labhyam This brahma is not to be attained soon!
05044002b yan mAmM pRcchasy abhihRSyasy atIva even though which thou askest me about it with such joy!
05044002c avyaktavidyAm abhidhAsye purANIm After (the senses have been restrained and) the will hath been merged in the pure intellect, the state that succeeds in one of utter absence of worldly thought.
05044002d buddhyA ca teSAmM brahmacaryeNa siddhAm Even that is knowledge (leading to the attainment of brahma). It is attainable only by practising Brahmacharya.'
