06002005a teSu kAlaparIteSu vinazyatsu ca bhArata O bharata, their hour having come, they will all perish.
06002005c kAlaparyAyam AjJAya mA sma zoke manaH kRthAH Bearing in mind the changes brought on by time, do not yield thy heart to grief.
06002006a yadi tv icchasi saGMgrAme draSTum enaM vizAmM pate O king, if thou wish to see them (fighting) in battle,
06002006c cakSur dadAni te hanta yuddham etan nizAmaya I will, O son, grant thee vision. Behold the battle.'
06002007 dhRtarASTra uvAca 'dhRtarASTra said,
06002007a na rocaye jJAtivadhanM draSTumM brahmarSisattama --'O best of regenerate RSi, I like not to behold the slaughter of kinsmen.

06002009c etasya sarvaM saGMgrAme naparokSamM bhaviSyati Nothing in the whole battle will be beyond this one's eyes.'
06002010a cakSuSA saJMjayo rAjan divyenaiSa samanvitaH Endued, O king with celestial vision, saJjaya
06002010c kathayiSyati te yuddhaM sarvajJaz ca bhaviSyati will narrate the battle to thee. He will have knowledge of everything.
06002011a prakAzaM vA rahasyaM vA rAtrau vA yadi vA divA Manifest or concealed, (happening) by day or by night,
06002011c manasA cintitam api sarvaM vetsyati saJMjayaH even that which is thought of in the mind, saJjaya shall know everything.
06002012a nainaM zastrANi bhetsyanti nainamM bAdhiSyate zramaH Weapons will not cut him and exertion will not fatigue him.
06002012c gAvalgaNir ayaJM jIvan yuddhAd asmAd vimokSyate This son of Gavalgani will come out of the battle with life.
06002013a ahaJM ca kIrtim eteSAGM kurUNAmM bharatarSabha As regards myself, O bull of bharata's race, the fame of these kurus,

06002022a jvalitArkendunakSatranM nirvizeSadinakSapam I have seen the sun, the moon, and the stars to be all blazing. No difference in their aspect is to be noted in the evening.
