He who like zakra himself, scattering arrows in thousands with the utmost composure,

06014012c jaghAna yudhi yodhAnAm arbudanM dazabhir dinaiH
daily slew ten thousand warriors for ten days, even he slain (by the enemy),

06014013a sa zete niSTanan bhUmau vAtarugNa iva drumaH

06014013c tava durmantrite rAjan yathA nArhasH sa bhArata
lieth, though he deserveth it not, on the bare ground like a (mighty) tree broken by the wind, in consequence, O king, of thy evil counsels, O bharata.''
