06031003c aprApya mAnM nivartante mRtyusaMsAravartmani not attaining to me, return to the path of this world that is subject to destruction.
06031004a mayA tatam idaM sarvaJM jagad avyaktamUrtinA This entire universe is pervaded by me in my unmanifest form.
06031004c matsthAni sarvabhUtAni na cAhanM teSv avasthitaH All entities are in me, but I do not reside in them.
06031005a na ca matsthAni bhUtAni pazya me yogam aizvaram Nor yet are all entities in me. Behold my divine power.
06031005c bhUtabhRn na ca bhUtastho mamAtmA bhUtabhAvanaH Supporting all entities and producing all entities, myself doth not (yet) reside in (those) entities.

06031008c bhUtagrAmam imaGM kRtsnam avazamM prakRter vazAt this whole assemblage of entities which is plastic in consequence of its subjection to nature.
06031009a na ca mAnM tAni karmANi nibadhnanti dhanaJMjaya 3 Those acts, however, O dhanaJjaya, do not fetter me
06031009c udAsInavad AsInam asaktanM teSu karmasu who sitteth as one unconcerned, being unattached to those acts (of creation).

06031012c rAkSasIm AsurIJM caiva prakRtimM mohinIM zritAH wedded to the delusive nature of asuras and rAkSasas,
06031013a mahAtmAnas tu mAmM pArtha daivImM prakRtim AzritAH But high-souled ones, O son of pRthA, resorting to divine nature,
06031013c bhajanty ananyamanaso jJAtvA bhUtAdim avyayam worship me with minds directed to nothing else, knowing (me) to be the origin of all entities and undestructible.
06031014a satataGM kIrtayanto mAM yatantaz ca dRDhavratAH Always glorifying me, (or) striving with firm vows,
06031014c namasyantaz ca mAmM bhaktyA nityayuktA upAsate (or) bowing down to me, with reverence and ever devoted, (they) worship me.
06031015a jJAnayajJena cApy anye yajanto mAm upAsate 5 Others again, performing the sacrifice of knowledge, worship me,
06031015c ekatvena pRthaktvena bahudhA vizvatomukham (some) as one, (some) as distinct, (some) as pervading the universe, in many forms.
06031016a ahaGM kratur ahaM yajJasH svadhAham aham auSadham 1 I am the Vedic sacrifice, I am the sacrifice enjoined in the Smritis, I am Swadha, I am the medicament produced from herbs;
06031016c mantro 'ham aham evAjyam aham agnir ahaM hutam I am the mantra, I am the sacrificial libation, I am the fire, and I am the (sacrificial) offering.
06031017a pitAham asya jagato mAtA dhAtA pitAmahaH 2 I am the father of this universe, the mother, the creator, grandsire;
06031017c vedyamM pavitram oGMkAra Rk sAma yajur eva ca (I am) the thing to be known, the means by which everything is cleaned, the syllable Om, the Rik, the Saman and the Yajus,
06031018a gatir bhartA prabhusH sAkSI nivAsazH zaraNaM suhRt (I am) the saviour, the supporter, the lord, the witness, the abode, the refuge, the friend,
06031018c prabhavaH pralayaH sthAnaM nidhAnaM bIjam avyayam the source, the destruction, the support, the receptacle; and the undestructible seed.
06031019a tapAmy aham ahaM varSanM nigRhNAmy utsRjAmi ca I give heat, I produce and suspend rain;
06031019c amRtaJM caiva mRtyuz ca sadasac cAham arjuna I am immortality, and also death; and I am the existent and the non-existent, O arjuna.
06031020a traividyA mAM somapAH pUtapApA yajJair iSTvA svargatiM prArthayante Those that know the vedas, drink the soma and cleaned themselves from sin, look for the way to Heaven by doing rites,
06031020c te puNyam AsAdya surendralokam aznanti divyAn divi devabhogAn and when they get to the holy world of indra, enjoy in heaven the divine pleasures of the gods.
06031021a te tamM bhuktvA svargalokaM vizAlaGM kSINe puNye martyalokaM vizanti After enjoying that vast world of Heaven, when they run out of merit they come back to the world of mortals.
06031021c evanM trayIdharmam anuprapannA gatAgataGM kAmakAmA labhante This is how those that follow the vedas get their wishes, and keep going and coming.
06031022a ananyAz cintayanto mAM ye janAH paryupAsate Those persons who, thinking (of me) without directing their minds to anything else, worship me,
06031022c teSAnM nityAbhiyuktAnAM yogakSemaM vahAmy aham of those who are (thus) always devoted (to me)--I make them gifts and preserve what they have.

06031024c na tu mAm abhijAnanti tattvenAtaz cyavanti te They, however, do not know me truly; hence they fall off (from heaven).
06031025a yAnti devavratA devAn pitRRn yAnti pitRvratAH They whose vows are directed to the pitRs attain to the pitRs;
06031025c bhUtAni yAnti bhUtejyA yAnti madyAjino 'pi mAm who direct (their) worship to the inferior spirits called Bhutas attain to Bhutas; they who worship me, attain even to myself.
06031026a patramM puSpamM phalanM toyaM yo me bhaktyA prayacchati If anyone offers me with reverence whatever leaf, flower, fruit, water --
06031026c tad ahamM bhaktyupahRtam aznAmi prayatAtmanaH I accept from him whatever he put together with devotion, because he is offering himself.
06031027a yat karoSi yad aznAsi yaj juhoSi dadAsi yat 4 Whatever you do, eat, pour, give,
06031027c yat tapasyasi kaunteya tat kuruSva madarpaNam whatever penance you do, O son of kuntI, make it into an offering to me.
06031028a zubhAzubhaphalair evamM mokSyase karmabandhanaiH This way you will be freed from the bonds of action, which result in pleasure and pain,
06031028c sanMnyAsayogayuktAtmA vimukto mAm upaiSyasi your will no longer long for these things, and will be freed and will come to me.
06031029a samo 'haM sarvabhUteSu na me dveSyo 'sti na priyaH I am the same to all creatures; I don't hate or love any,
06031029c ye bhajanti tu mAmM bhaktyA mayi te teSu cApy aham But those that serve me, they are in me, and I am in them.
06031030a api cet sudurAcAro bhajate mAm ananyabhAk And if the worst of criminals starts following my way and leaves everything else,
06031030c sAdhur eva sa mantavyasH samyag vyavasito hi saH consider him a saint, because he's going in the right direction.
06031031a kSipramM bhavati dharmAtmA zazvacchAntinM nigacchati He'll soon become just, and get perpetual peace of mind.
06031031c kaunteya pratijAnIhi na me bhaktaH praNazyati O son of kuntI, remember that none of my devotees ends up badly.
06031032a mAM hi pArtha vyapAzritya ye 'pi syuH pApayonayaH Because, O son of pRthA, even those of low birth, when they resort to me,
