Use /luT to mean what will happen later than today.
zva:: AgantA श्व आगन्ता he / she will come tomorrow
You shouldn't take this rule seriously. The real usage is that both the /lRT and the /luT may be used for all future times.
The distinction between the two is more of meaning than of time. The /luT is used to express a definite intention to do something,
zvas taTaG gantAsmi श्वस्तटं गन्तास्मि "I'm going to the beach tomorrow"
the /lRT expresses either an intention or any sort of forecast or guess about what will or might happen —
taTaG gamiSyAmi तटं गमिष्यामि "I'll go to the beach"
So if you doubt about which one should you use, use the /lRT and you'll never be ungrammatical.
To say what you are going to do straigth away, rule vartamAnas... says that the /laT is fine —
taTaG gacchAmi तटं गच्छामि "I'm going to the beach"
and this rule says that the /laT is better than the /luT. But you may still use the /luT, taTaG gantAsmi तटं गन्तास्मि, if you like — that's nonPC, but people will understand you.
