@flat hard liG

(See also flat soft liG)

(See also links to liG pages.)

Most flat hard liG are just the flat laG endings with yA या added in front —

(The two endings **yAt यात् **yAs यास् sound like their soft twins **yAt' यात्ऽ **yAs' यास्ऽ.)

**dviSyus द्विष्युस् "they'd hate"

**dviSyAm द्विष्याम् "I'd hate"

However, when the verb base ends in a , iy इय् is added instead of yA या, and a plus iy इय् will make ey एय् by AdguNaH. So the verb will end in —

and then a + i will make e by AdguNaH. This is the same thing as saying that the a of the base is removed and the flat laG endings get ey एय् added in front. The verb forms will then end in —

As in

**nayeyus नयेयुस् "they'd lead"

**nayeyam नयेयम् "I'd lead"
