ahan अहन् stays after a numeral when meaning a group of days.
Exception to < ahnohna::et..., which would turn ahan अहन् into ahna अह्न.
So we get —
trINy ahAni samAhRtAni त्रीण्यहानि समाहृतानि → **tryaha- त्र्यहॱ
Why "when meaning a group"?
dvayor ahnor bhavaH द्वयोरह्नोर्भवः "that stays for two days" → !**dvyahnas द्व्यह्नस्
This is a taddhitArtha dvigu तद्धितार्थ द्विगु formed by section (1) of taddhitArthott.... It gets the affix /aN'' by tatrabhavaH in the sense of tatra bhavaH तत्र भवः "who stays there", and then that /aN'' is luked off by dvigorlugan.... The final an अन् of ahan is then elided by ahnaSTakhor....
