@bent hard liG derivations

To form the bent hard liG we start with the basic bent from tiptasjhisipth..., those are the same as the bent laG.

ta AtAm आताम् /jha
thAs थास् AthAm आथाम् /dhvam
/iT' /vahi /mahi

Then —

/jha becomes /ran by jhasyaran,

/iT' becomes a by iTot,

and all of them get Iy ईय् in front by liGassIyuT and liGassalop...,

That y य् disappears before consonants by lopovyorvali, so it only stays before /AtAm /AthAm a and we get —

!**Ita ईत

!**IyAtAm ईयाताम्

!**Iran ईरन्

!**IthAs ईथास्

!**IyAthAm ईयाथाम्

!**Idhvam ईध्वम्

!**Iya ईय

!**Ivahi ईवहि

!**Imahi ईमहि

This Iy ईय् from /sIyuT, unlike the yA या from /yAsuT, appears both after a bases and after non-a bases, so we say —

**labha- लभॱ + hard liG /talabha लभ + Ita ईत → **labheta लभेत "he'd get"

**dviS- द्विष् + hard liG /tadviS द्विष् + Ita ईत → **dviSIta द्विषीत "he'd hate (A.)".

while with the flat endings we had an odd change of a + yA या into ey एय् by atoyeyaH

**paca- पचॱ + hard liG /tippaca पच + **yAt यात् → **pacet पचेत् "he'd cook" by atoyeyaH

**dviS- द्विष् + hard liG /tipdviS द्विष् + **yAt यात् → **dviSyAt द्विष्यात् "he'd hate (P.)".

For more examples, see paradigm of labh and paradigm of bent dviS.

Back to bent hard liG.

Wait, shouldn't suTtithoH add s स् to **Ita ईत?

It does, but NVM that, because liGassalop... removes it again, see —

hard liG /ta
sIyta सीय्त by liGassIyuT
sIysta सीय्स्त by suTtithoH
Iyta ईय्त dropping both the s स् by liGassalop...
Ita ईत by lopovyorvali
→ **Ita ईत "he would"

Same story in **IyAtAm ईयाताम्, **IthAs ईथास्, **IyAthAm ईयाथाम्.
