deriv LSK ETT STT aSTA ALPH OLDHOMEPAGE NEWHOMEPAGE
The /liT tense expresses past time by parokSeliT.
It is soft by liTca, so it never gets /zap or any /vikaraNa.
It reduplicates the root by liTidhAtor....
It takes quirky endings by parasmaipad..., liTastajhay..., and other rules.
Because of asaMyogAll... &c, the root gets fattening before some endings.
This tense is seldom used in medieval and modern Sanskrit, but commonplace in the epics.
