Rules kartarizap ff work before hard doershowing, such as a hard tense, or /zatR.

pac पच् + doershowing /laT
→ **paca- पचॱ

So it will not work before an objectshowing hard, and those do not get /zap nor a replacement of /zap. But rule sArvadhAtuk... says that these should get /yak.

This /yak appears before an objectshowing /zAnac, and before /laT /laG /loT and hard liG.

pac पच् + objectshowing /laT
pac पच् + /yak + /laT by sArvadhAtuk...
!**pacya- पच्यॱ + /laT , as in **pacyate पच्यते

pac पच् + objectshowing /laG
apac अपच् + /laG by luGlaGlRGkSvaD...
apac अपच् + /yak + /laG by sArvadhAtuk...
!**apacya- अपच्यॱ + /laG , as in **apacyata अपच्यत

**apacya- अपच्यॱ + /laG /ta!**apacyata अपच्यत "it was being cooked"

zru श्रु + objectshowing /loT /ta → **zrUyatAm श्रूयताम् "let it be heard"

There is no /yak before /liT and soft liG because these are soft.

Why there will be no /yak before /lRT /lRG /luT /luG?

Because these add /sya /tAs /tAs /cli after the root, instead of /yak.

So, /liT /lRT /lRG /luT /luG cannot be objectshowing?

They can. That is uncommon, however.

When they are objectshowing, they take bent endings. Which means that they only look different from the doershowing after /parasmaipadI roots. If you see a bent ending replacing these tenses, it is unlikely to be objectshowing.
